Culture & Entertainment

The BVLD is the home of a number of venues that delight thousands of visitors every month.

The Lancaster Performing Arts Center hosts local and international theater, music, and dance performances. From Swan Lake to Spamalot, you’ll find something to enjoy at this state-of-the-art facility.

The new Museum of Art and History houses special collections of artifacts that feature the rich historical and cultural history of the Antelope Valley.

The Artist Lofts Gallery features rotating special exhibits by resident artists, as well as periodic meet-the-artist receptions and private showings.

Family-Friendly Events

The BVLD offers a number of free special events throughout the year, guaranteed to delight the entire family.

The Farmer’s Market every Thursday offers a fresh local produce and unique gourmet foods from local businesses, as well as arts and crafts and street vendors. Plus don’t miss the outdoor concert series beginning in April.

The Streets of Lancaster Grand Prix in September is an exciting weekend of professional and amateur go-cart racing. The only street race of its kind west of the Mississippi River, the event includes a street festival and classic car show.

The BooLVD in October features free trick-or-treating at area businesses, two haunted houses, a street festival and farmer’s marker, and Halloween-themed entertainment at the center stage. Kids will love the hayrides, corn maze, pumpkin painting and costume contest, and the entire family can dine in street-vendor style at one of the numerous food trucks.

Celebrate America in November pays tribute to our rich national history, as well as our local service and military personnel throughout the world. Several stages with live music and dancing, a vintage car show, street festival, and spectacular fireworks round out the evening.

A Magical BLVD Christmas in December brings the sights, sounds, and feel of the holiday season to the desert! Includes carolers, Christmas entertainment on two stages, a Christkindlmarkt, and a variety of holiday-themed activities. Kids won’t want to miss the real snow playground, genuine horse-drawn sleigh ride, and – of course – a visit with Santa!
